What we do
The Austrian Civil Protection Association has been carrying out prevention work in Austria for over 60 years. We are not an emergency services organisation, but aim to help people to help themselves as best as possible in crisis situations by providing information and education before a crisis occurs.
We achieve our goals through information campaigns, and by holding presentations and organising events in the communities and regions. Our programmes are aimed at all age groups – from primary schools to retirement homes.
Who we are
We are the point of contact for the population and public institutions when it comes to personal preparedness for crisis situations, and carry out this work free of charge.
We are the umbrella organisation of the civil protection associations in Austria’s federal states. We are an association. Our activities are financed by cooperation with other organisations and through public funding.
